The kids loved it and it gave them something positive to look forward to. It also gave them lots of opportunities to work hard towards something and to feel that sense of accomplishment once they have reached their goals or learned something new. I noticed the biggest changes with a couple of our boys as far a their behavior in school.

Thank you for providing this opportunity for our students at Bear Creek. I have enjoyed getting to see students who are not typically involved, or outgoing come out of their shell and shine. OMS created a safe place for our students, taught them character building lessons, confidence, and even how to be part of a team.

Our students gained confidence and it showed in their behavior in class. For several students, the growth in their maturity was enough for teachers and administrators to comment on the obvious benefit OMS provided. For others, just the knowledge that they had been brave enough to perform in front of peers and/or adults helped them believe that they can do hard things. What an awesome lesson for any young person!

As a fifth grade teacher, I noticed a change in the 5th grade girls after about 2 weeks of OMS. I saw students become leaders in our grade level and school. Furthermore, I saw the girls who were usually shy start to speak up more in class!

Incorporating this program into our school has been an amazing experience for our students. Students have gotten to experience what teamwork looks like and feels like. They have a gained a sense of pride for their work.
